Procurement SaaS Vendor Management Negotiation Contract Management Software Licensing IT Services Cross-functional Collaboration Cost Analysis Sourcing

I am writing to express my interest in the IT Procurement Specialist position at Leadtech Group. With over 3 years of experience in technology procurement, I have a proven track record of managing SaaS and software licensing agreements, negotiating favorable terms, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure cost-effective and compliant purchasing.

My background includes executing end-to-end procurement cycles, conducting RFP/RFQ processes, and performing spend analysis to identify cost optimization opportunities. I am comfortable working in dynamic environments and leveraging digital tools to improve efficiency.

I am particularly drawn to Leadtech's remote-first culture and commitment to building impactful digital products. I believe my skills in vendor management and contract administration align well with the requirements of this role.

I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to your team and support Leadtech's growth through strategic procurement practices.

Can you describe your experience with managing SaaS procurement and negotiations?
I have managed over 20 SaaS renewals and new purchases, negotiating discounts and favorable terms. For example, I led a competitive RFP for a project management tool, achieving a 15% cost reduction while improving contract terms.
How do you ensure compliance with procurement policies and governance standards?
I maintain a contract repository with renewal dates and compliance checklists. I work closely with Legal to review terms and with Finance to ensure budget alignment. Regular audits help identify any deviations.
Describe a time you had to coordinate with multiple stakeholders (e.g., Engineering, Legal, Finance) to close a procurement deal.
In my previous role, I coordinated a software license purchase involving Engineering for technical specs, Legal for contract review, and Finance for budget approval. I facilitated meetings to align priorities and documented timelines, ensuring on-time completion.
How do you approach spend analysis and total cost of ownership (TCO) assessments?
I gather data from invoices and usage reports, then categorize expenses. For TCO, I consider direct costs, support fees, and renewal rates. I use tools like Excel or procurement software to identify trends and potential savings.
How do you stay updated on market trends and vendor offerings in the technology procurement space?
I subscribe to industry publications, attend webinars, and network with peers. Additionally, I use AI tools to summarize market reports and track vendor announcements, helping me make informed decisions.
