I am excited to apply for the Part-Time Instructor for Fullstack AI position at Fullstack Academy. With over 7 years of hands-on experience in full stack development, including extensive work with JavaScript, React, Node.js, and MongoDB, I am confident in my ability to deliver engaging and practical instruction. My background also includes integrating generative AI technologies such as OpenAI APIs and LangChain into real-world applications, which aligns perfectly with the curriculum needs. I am passionate about mentoring adult learners and helping them transition into tech careers through practical, career-oriented education. I look forward to contributing to your team and empowering students with the skills needed for today's technology landscape.

Describe your experience with integrating generative AI models into full stack applications.
I have integrated OpenAI's GPT models using their API to build a chatbot for a customer support application, and used LangChain to create a document Q&A system. I also have experience with Hugging Face Transformers for text classification and Stable Diffusion for image generation, all deployed via Node.js and React.
How would you handle a student who is struggling with a concept like asynchronous JavaScript?
I would first assess their understanding through targeted questions, then use analogies and visual aids to explain callbacks, promises, and async/await. I'd provide hands-on exercises and encourage them to debug code step-by-step, offering additional office hours if needed.
Explain your approach to teaching responsive design principles in a bootcamp setting.
I focus on mobile-first design, using flexbox and grid for layouts, and media queries for breakpoints. I emphasize real-world examples like building a responsive dashboard, and encourage students to test on multiple devices or using browser dev tools.
How do you stay current with emerging technologies in full stack and AI?
I follow industry blogs, attend webinars, and contribute to open-source projects. I also experiment with new tools like AI-assisted coding and participate in online communities to share knowledge and learn from peers.
Describe a time you had to adapt your teaching style to accommodate diverse learning preferences.
In a previous mentoring role, I had students who preferred visual learning and others who learned by doing. I created both slide decks with diagrams and interactive coding challenges, and allowed students to choose their preferred method during breakout sessions.
