Dear Hiring Manager,

I am excited to apply for the Senior ASO Manager position at Ruby Labs. With over 5 years of hands-on ASO experience, I have a proven track record of driving organic growth and optimizing Apple Search Ads profitably for subscription-based mobile apps. I am highly skilled in keyword optimization, store page A/B testing, and localization, and I thrive in data-driven environments where I can take full ownership of store performance metrics. Ruby Labs' innovative product portfolio and remote-first culture align perfectly with my career goals. I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to your team.

Sincerely, [Your Name]

How would you approach keyword optimization for a new market?
I would start by researching local competitors and using ASO tools to identify high-volume, low-competition keywords. Then I'd prioritize keywords based on relevance and difficulty, and integrate them into the title, subtitle, and keyword field, while also localizing the metadata and creative assets.
Describe a time you improved conversion rates through A/B testing.
I ran a series of screenshot A/B tests on the App Store. By testing different visual styles and feature highlights, we identified a combination that increased conversion by 15%. The key was to iterate quickly and focus on statistically significant results.
How do you manage Apple Search Ads campaigns to maximize ROI?
I use a structured approach: start with Discovery campaigns to gather keyword data, then move high-performing keywords to Single Keyword Ad Groups for precise bid management. I also implement automated bid rules based on CPA targets and regularly review search terms to add negative keywords.
What metrics do you prioritize for organic growth?
I focus on conversion rate from impression to install (CTI), organic install volume and growth, and cost per tap (CPT) for paid campaigns. Additionally, I track keyword rankings and visibility scores to measure optimization effectiveness.
How do you handle localization for different storefronts?
I collaborate with native speakers or localization experts to adapt both the metadata and screenshots for each target market, ensuring cultural relevance and compliance with local guidelines. I also use A/B testing to validate localized versions and optimize for each region.
