Sample interview questions
In my previous role, I conducted EDD on customers in high-risk industries such as cryptocurrency and cross-border payments. I reviewed ownership structures, source of funds, and sanctions exposure, and documented findings for compliance review.
I regularly follow updates from FATF, local regulators, and industry forums. I also participate in webinars and pursue certifications like ACAMS to ensure my knowledge remains current.
I identified inefficiencies in our manual data collection process and implemented a tool that automated document retrieval, reducing processing time by 30% while improving accuracy.
I start by gathering all available data, then use open-source intelligence and internal databases. I escalate unclear cases to senior team members and document assumptions clearly.
I hold the ACAMS certification, which deepened my understanding of risk-based approaches and typologies. It helps me apply best practices in EDD and sanctions screening.
