I am writing to express my strong interest in the Senior Marketer, AI-Driven Customer Reference Program position at HubSpot. With extensive experience in scaling B2B customer reference programs and integrating AI to drive efficiency, I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to HubSpot's mission of helping organizations grow better.

In my previous role, I owned end-to-end customer advocacy strategy, built diverse advocate communities, and leveraged automation to improve reference matching and engagement. My cross-functional leadership skills have enabled me to partner effectively with Sales, Customer Success, and Product Marketing to integrate references throughout the buyer journey.

I am particularly drawn to HubSpot's focus on AI-enabled workflows and data-driven decision-making, which align with my passion for using technology to create scalable, impactful programs. I look forward to the possibility of bringing my expertise to HubSpot and helping the Customer Reference Program become a stronger competitive advantage.

Thank you for considering my application. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my background and skills can support HubSpot's growth.

Can you describe a time you scaled a customer reference program and how you measured its success?
I once scaled a program from 50 to 500 advocates, using KPIs like reference fulfillment speed and sales influence. I implemented a CRM-based tracking system and automated matching, which increased fulfillment speed by 30% and contributed to a 15% acceleration in deal cycles.
How have you applied AI or automation to improve a marketing program?
I integrated an AI-powered chatbot for advocate engagement and used natural language processing to automatically match references based on industry and use case. This reduced manual effort by 40% and improved match accuracy.
How do you balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment?
I prioritize by setting quarterly goals and breaking them into weekly tasks. For example, I developed a strategic roadmap for advocate recruitment while simultaneously running onboarding webinars. I also delegate operational tasks to specialists to focus on strategy.
Describe your experience working cross-functionally to integrate customer references into the sales process.
I partnered with Sales to create reference request templates and trained sales reps on optimal timing. With Product Marketing, I aligned references with product launches. This resulted in a 20% increase in reference usage in late-stage deals.
What metrics do you consider most important for a customer reference program, and why?
I focus on advocate engagement rate, reference fulfillment speed, pipeline influence, and deal acceleration. These metrics directly reflect advocate health, operational efficiency, and contribution to revenue, which are critical for program ROI.

  • Provide strategic leadership for day-to-day operations while partnering with the Customer Reference Operations Specialist to execute program activities at scale.
  • Design and deliver exceptional advocate experiences that strengthen long-term customer engagement and encourage ongoing participation.
  • Develop playbooks, documentation, and enablement resources that help revenue teams confidently identify, request, and use customer references.
  • Measure and optimize program performance using KPIs such as reference fulfillment speed, advocate engagement, sales adoption, pipeline influence, and deal acceleration.
  • Identify opportunities to improve program processes, automation, reporting, and customer experiences through continuous experimentation and data-driven decision-making.
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for the Customer Reference Program across HubSpot’s go-to-market organization.

  • Experience working within B2B SaaS or technology organizations.
  • Experience with CRM platforms, marketing automation tools, or sales engagement technologies.
