Dear Hiring Manager,

I am excited to apply for the Director, Marketing - Mexico position at Samsara. With over 12 years of B2B marketing experience in enterprise SaaS, including 7 years leading high-performing teams, I have a proven track record of driving pipeline growth and crafting go-to-market strategies. My expertise in demand generation, account-based marketing, and cross-functional collaboration aligns perfectly with the goals of this role.

Having led marketing for a global tech company in Latin America, I understand the nuances of the Mexican market and am fluent in both Spanish and English. I am passionate about leveraging data to inform strategy and delivering measurable results. Samsara's mission to improve safety and sustainability in physical operations resonates deeply with me, and I am eager to contribute to the company's expansion.

I look forward to discussing how my experience can help drive Samsara's success in Mexico. Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

How would you develop and execute a differentiated marketing strategy for the Mexico market across all customer segments?
I would start by conducting a deep analysis of the Mexican market, including competitor positioning, customer needs, and internal data. Then, I would create a multi-channel strategy that leverages content, events, and ABM to target commercial, mid-market, and enterprise segments. I would prioritize campaigns that align with Samsara's value proposition and measure success through pipeline generation and conversion rates.
Describe your experience managing a cross-functional team of regional marketers and how you foster collaboration with global teams.
I have managed teams of 5-10 marketers, including demand gen, events, and content specialists. I ensure clear goal alignment and regular syncs with global marketing to avoid duplication and leverage best practices. I also encourage knowledge sharing through weekly stand-ups and joint planning sessions to maintain a cohesive strategy.
Give an example of a data-driven marketing initiative you led that significantly impacted pipeline or bookings.
At my previous company, I analyzed lead source data and found that webinars had high conversion but low volume. I proposed a scalable webinar program with targeted promotion. By implementing a lead nurturing sequence, we increased webinar-driven pipeline by 40% in six months, contributing to a 15% increase in quarterly bookings.
How would you ensure the Mexico marketing team maintains a strong culture and morale while scaling?
I prioritize transparent communication, celebrate wins, and invest in professional development. I would hold regular team meetings to align on goals, provide feedback, and recognize achievements. I also advocate for work-life balance and encourage team members to share ideas for improvement, fostering a sense of ownership.
Can you describe a time you had to adapt a global marketing program to fit the local market while maintaining brand consistency?
We had a global product launch campaign that was heavy on US-centric case studies. I localized the messaging by adapting examples to reflect Mexican customers, creating Spanish-language content, and selecting local channels. I worked with legal to ensure compliance and with the global team to maintain brand guidelines. The result was a 20% higher engagement in Mexico compared to other regions.
