Sample interview questions
How would you build Storyly's reseller and referral partner network from scratch in Europe?

I would first segment priority markets by customer density, partner maturity, and Storyly's product fit. I would define ideal partner profiles, create a targeted recruitment list, establish clear commercial and enablement packages, and pilot the model with a small cohort. I would then measure activation, sourced pipeline, conversion, and partner productivity before scaling the strongest motions market by market.

How do you determine whether a prospective partner is worth onboarding?

I assess strategic fit, customer overlap, market credibility, sales capacity, technical capability where relevant, and willingness to invest in joint go-to-market activity. I also validate whether the partner has a concrete route to qualified opportunities rather than relying only on stated interest. A mutual business plan with measurable pipeline and activation commitments helps distinguish high-potential partners from passive referrals.

Describe how you would enable a reseller to sell and support a SaaS product independently.

I would create a structured enablement journey covering the customer problem, product positioning, ideal use cases, competitive differentiation, discovery, demo delivery, pricing guardrails, and support escalation. Certification checkpoints and role-play sessions would confirm readiness. After launch, I would review early opportunities with the reseller, provide deal coaching, and use performance data to identify further training needs.

How would you work with the product team on a potential technology partnership or integration?

I would bring validated market evidence, including shared customer needs, use cases, expected commercial value, and technical requirements. With product, I would clarify integration scope, ownership, timeline, and success metrics before making external commitments. Once launched, I would coordinate joint positioning, partner enablement, co-marketing, and feedback loops to ensure the integration drives adoption and pipeline.

What metrics would you use to evaluate the health of a partner channel?

I would track recruited versus activated partners, training completion, partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline, opportunity conversion, average deal size, sales cycle, revenue contribution, renewal performance, and partner engagement in joint campaigns. I would review these metrics by market and partner type to focus resources on the activities that produce repeatable revenue.

What You Do

  • Establish and grow Storyly’s reseller and referral partnership network across Europe. Identify, recruit, and onboard resellers market by market.

  • Create commercial partnerships (agencies, consultancies, resellers) and technical partnerships (platforms, system integrators, complementary products in the mobile marketing ecosystem).

  • Train and enable resellers on Storyly’s product, positioning, and sales playbook so they can pitch, demo, and support Storyly independently.

  • Support the Product Team to develop product partnerships and integrations with complementary platforms to expand joint value propositions.

  • Organize and run partner events, webinars, and industry conference presence across Europe to generate leads.

  • Collect, qualify, and route partner-generated leads, working hand in hand with the sales team to convert them.

  • Build joint go-to-market and co-marketing plans with key partners and own the partner-sourced pipeline.

  • Negotiate partnership agreements and commercial terms, and manage renewals to secure ongoing partnerships.

  • Track partner activity, pipeline, and performance in the CRM, and report on the health of the partner channel.

Who You Are

  • Existing partnership experience in building or managing a reseller/channel program is a plus.

  • Existing product partnership experience (technology integrations, platform ecosystems) is a big plus.

  • You know the mobile marketing, e-commerce, or D2C ecosystem and speak its language.

  • You are a self-starter with a startup mindset and comfortable building a function from zero and owning the outcome.

  • You are a confident presenter and trainer, at ease running enablement sessions and speaking at events.

  • You demonstrate a high level of proficiency in English; additional European languages are a big advantage.

  • You are willing to travel across Europe for partner meetings, training, and industry events.
