Sample interview questions
How would you build an EMEA energy GTM strategy for a data and AI platform?

I would segment the market by subsector, account potential, data maturity, and priority use cases such as production optimization, grid resilience, trading analytics, and predictive maintenance. I would then define target-account plans, value propositions, partner motions, field enablement, and KPIs covering pipeline creation, conversion, adoption, and expansion.

Describe how you would engage a CEO or executive team that is uncertain about investing in AI.

I would begin with their strategic and operational priorities rather than the technology itself. I would connect a small number of AI use cases to quantified business outcomes, establish the required data and governance foundations, and recommend a phased roadmap that demonstrates value early while managing risk.

How do you lead cross-functional GTM teams when you do not have direct authority?

I create alignment around a shared market opportunity, explicit account priorities, measurable outcomes, and clear ownership. I maintain momentum through regular operating cadences, transparent reporting, rapid escalation of blockers, and communication tailored to the incentives of each function.

Which energy AI use cases would you prioritize in EMEA, and why?

I would prioritize use cases with strong economic value and available data, including asset reliability, field and subsurface intelligence, power-demand forecasting, grid optimization, renewable integration, and commodity trading analytics. The exact prioritization would vary by customer segment, regulatory environment, and time-to-value potential.

How would you measure the success of an industry GTM program?

I would track leading and lagging indicators: executive engagements, qualified pipeline created, win rate, sales-cycle progression, partner-sourced opportunities, platform adoption, expansion revenue, and customer value realization. Metrics would be reviewed by subsector and strategic account so the team can refine investments based on field evidence.
