Sample interview questions
How would you prepare for an outbound campaign targeting a new account segment?

I would define the ideal customer profile, research each account's business priorities and likely security challenges, identify relevant decision-makers, and create persona-specific messaging. I would then sequence calls, emails, and LinkedIn touches, monitor response data, and refine the campaign based on engagement and conversion results.

How do you handle repeated rejection during high-volume prospecting?

I treat rejection as useful feedback rather than a personal outcome. I stay focused on controllable inputs such as research quality, activity consistency, and follow-up discipline, while reviewing objections for patterns that can improve my messaging.

What would you do if a prospect says they already conduct penetration tests?

I would acknowledge their existing program and ask discovery questions about testing frequency, turnaround time, development-cycle integration, scope flexibility, and remediation collaboration. Based on their answers, I would position Cobalt's pentest-as-a-service model only where it addresses a meaningful gap.

How would you prioritize inbound leads and outbound accounts when both require attention?

I would prioritize inbound leads based on fit, intent, urgency, and speed-to-lead requirements, while protecting dedicated time blocks for strategic outbound activity. I would use CRM data and alignment with the Account Executive to ensure the highest-potential opportunities receive timely follow-up.

Describe how you would work with an Account Executive after booking a meeting.

I would provide concise context on the account, stakeholders, business challenges, trigger events, qualification details, outreach history, and agreed next steps. After the meeting, I would review outcomes with the Account Executive and coordinate follow-up or nurture activity to maintain momentum.
