Sample interview questions
How do you structure a cold call to a prospect who has not heard of your company?

I begin with a concise introduction and a relevant reason for calling, then ask a discovery question tied to the prospect’s likely workflow or challenge. I listen for pain points, briefly connect the product’s value to those needs, address initial objections, and close with a clear next step such as a meeting with an account executive.

What methods would you use to sustain performance at a target of around 200 outbound calls per day?

I would time-block prospecting, follow-up, research, and CRM updates while using call lists and templates to reduce administrative friction. I would monitor connect rates, conversations, qualification rates, and booked meetings daily so I can adjust messaging, list quality, and calling windows quickly.

How do you determine whether a lead is qualified before passing it to a Business Development Executive?

I confirm the prospect’s business context, shipping or order-management needs, decision-making role, current process, pain points, urgency, and willingness to evaluate a solution. I document these details in the CRM so the Business Development Executive receives clear context and can run a productive next conversation.

Describe how you would handle the objection, 'We already use another shipping platform.'

I would acknowledge their existing solution and avoid immediately trying to displace it. I would ask what works well and where there may be friction, such as managing multiple carrier accounts or centralising orders, then position ParcelHero Pro only where it is relevant and request a short exploratory meeting if there is a potential gap.

How do you maintain accurate CRM records while managing a large outreach volume?

I log outcomes immediately after each meaningful interaction using consistent activity categories, concise notes, and defined next steps. I also review my pipeline at the end of each day to ensure follow-ups are scheduled, lead statuses are accurate, and no qualified opportunity is lost.
