Sample interview questions
I would begin with discovery workshops to confirm business outcomes, technical requirements, stakeholders, governance, dependencies, and success measures. I would document scope, create a RACI and project charter where appropriate, build a milestone-based plan, and establish a communication and risk-management cadence.
I would log the dependency with its impact, owner, due date, and mitigation path, then validate the customer's identity-provider requirements early. I would schedule focused technical sessions, provide clear integration documentation, track progress in regular status updates, and escalate through agreed governance before the dependency threatens key milestones.
I would lead with the business impact, current status, options, recommendation, decision needed, and timeline implications rather than implementation detail. I would provide enough context to support an informed decision and offer a separate technical discussion for engineering or IT stakeholders.
I would baseline approved requirements and deliverables during planning, then assess each requested change for effort, timeline, risk, and cost impacts. I would document the recommendation and obtain the required approval before changing the plan, while distinguishing essential launch requirements from post-launch enhancements.
I would assess data volume, update frequency, security and privacy requirements, source-system capabilities, error handling, ownership, maintenance effort, and the business value of automation. I would then recommend an approach that is reliable, supportable, and proportionate to the customer's goals and technical capacity.
