Sample interview questions
How do you manage a contract from intake through signature and storage?

I begin by confirming the request, business context, template, stakeholders, and target timeline. I prepare or route the correct document, track review comments and approvals, coordinate execution, and then store the fully signed agreement with metadata, key dates, and obligations in the contract repository.

What would you do if a customer proposes non-standard liability or data-protection language?

I would compare the proposed language with approved playbooks and fallback positions, identify the business and legal impact, and document the issue clearly. I would then escalate it to the appropriate legal reviewer with the relevant contract language, customer context, and timeline rather than independently approving material risk.

How do you prioritize simultaneous requests from Sales, Finance, and Delivery?

I assess each request by commercial deadline, legal risk, customer impact, dependencies, and completeness of the intake information. I communicate expected turnaround times early, maintain a visible tracker, and escalate priority conflicts when stakeholders need a decision on sequencing.

How have you supported privacy and security reviews in a contract function?

I have supported DPAs and customer or vendor questionnaires by collecting standard security and privacy materials, checking requests against approved positions, and coordinating responses with legal, security, and operational teams. I keep records of commitments and ensure that negotiated privacy obligations are captured for follow-up.

How would you use AI tools in contract administration while protecting confidentiality?

I would use only company-approved tools and follow data-handling policies before uploading or processing any contract content. AI can help summarize documents, identify clauses, and prepare first drafts, but I would validate outputs, avoid sharing restricted information improperly, and retain human judgment for legal and business decisions.
