The Human Resource (HR) Supervisor, Onboarding Services will have 7 direct reports in Onboarding Services. This individual will also serve as a functional lead and hands-on subject-matter expert in the areas of human resources, onboarding, background checks, and using this expertise to guide team members. Additionally, this HR Supervisor will assist in the administrative duties for the team, along with providing exemplary day-to-day support to employees, managers, recruiters, and other cross-functional teams. This position will have a strong focus on onboarding services, background checks, international hiring, and systems and integrations support.
Primary Responsibilities
Leadership, supervision, and support of Onboarding Services functional areas. Provide primary input to performance and rewards decisions for direct reports.
Support/provide guidance to onboarding team members, including responding to inquiries on complex issues and HR issues, policies and practices, background checks, timecharging, payroll, and employee data entry
Manage team’s workload (assign offers, reallocate resources as needed, approve OT), including assignment of tasks for special projects, and train/mentor team members, ensuring that high impact and high priority issues are handled in a timely manner
Interface directly with background vendor and I-9/WOTC vendors/program management and partner with them to troubleshoot/resolve issues escalated from team and/or vendor issues (system downtime, etc).
Monitor onboarding shared inbox and case management queues to ensure that work is getting completed timely, assigning work out as needed or responding to complex inquiries
Process new hires and internal transfers against requisitions, including preparing new hire packets
Support new hires with any type of question or inquiry from time of offer acceptance through 60 days of employment
Serve as SME on onboarding process for enterprise-wide and internal projects where onboarding is involved
Support and coordinate incumbent captures by supporting program calls as needed, working with other stakeholders for necessary information, and ensuring team is prepared with all necessary updates
Collaborate with fellow Supervisor, Onboarding Services and other HR Services delivery areas, HR leadership, etc. on new and existing programs and process improvement initiatives.
Maintain flexibility and a positive attitude toward innovation and change and be a chief supporter to all HR Services teams.

Basic Qualifications
Ability to apply critical thinking skills to complex issues
Ability to use deductive reasoning to assess multi-faceted questions and problems
Extensive experience in area of Leidos onboarding, human resources policies and procedures, background checks
Extensive experience with Workday HCM platform
Extremely strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to make connections with customers in writing
Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities through strong organizational skills
Experience providing customer service to internal stakeholders
Experience working with internal policies and procedures to ensure continuity of business services
Commitment to outstanding customer service, both internal and external
Experience resolving complex issues utilizing external resources and escalating internally when appropriate
Ability to maintain a consistent schedule
Ability to provide limited after-hours support as needed or required
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in business related field coupled with 3+ years’ experience in human resources, benefits, staffing, recruiting or related field; OR an Associate’s degree coupled with 5+ years’ experience in human resources, benefits, staffing, recruiting or related field; OR a High School diploma coupled with 7+ years’ experience in human resources, benefits, staffing, recruiting or related field
Preferred Qualifications
Must have at least 1 year of experience leading or managing a team of 5 or more team members in an Onboarding Services environment
Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Human Resources.
PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $49,400.00 – $89,300.00
