I am excited to apply for the Senior CRO Manager position at Ruby Labs. With over 4 years of experience optimizing conversion funnels for SaaS products, I have a proven track record of driving double-digit lifts in key metrics through iterative testing and deep analysis. I thrive in fast-paced environments where data-driven decisions and rapid experimentation are core to the culture.

Your description of owning the full optimization loop end-to-end resonates with my approach: I combine rigorous hypothesis generation with high-fidelity design specs and work closely with engineering teams to ensure flawless implementation. I am also highly proficient with AI tools to accelerate research and analysis, aligning with your AI-native workflow requirement.

I am particularly drawn to the opportunity to impact the entire user journey, from acquisition to monetization, and the prospect of a compensation structure that rewards tangible results. I am confident that my experience with subscription funnels and tools like Mixpanel and GrowthBook will allow me to contribute immediately.

I look forward to the possibility of discussing how I can help scale your document management platform. Thank you for your consideration.

Describe a time you identified a high-impact optimization opportunity through funnel analysis. What was the hypothesis, how did you test it, and what were the results?
I analyzed the checkout flow for a SaaS product and noticed a 20% drop-off on the payment page. Hypothesis: Adding trust badges and simplifying the form would reduce friction. I designed a variant with fewer fields and security logos, implemented an A/B test, and achieved a 12% increase in conversion rate with 95% confidence.
How do you integrate AI tools into your daily CRO workflow? Give a specific example.
I use AI for rapid hypothesis generation by feeding historical test data and user behavior into a language model to suggest new test ideas. For example, I prompted it with 'Based on a 40% bounce rate on the pricing page, what are three possible reasons and testable changes?' and then prototyped the top suggestion using TailwindCSS in hours.
This role requires designing high-fidelity wireframes in code (Next.js + TailwindCSS). Are you comfortable with that? How do you bridge the gap between design and development?
Yes, I have experience building interfaces directly in TailwindCSS and Next.js. I start with a clear visual spec and then translate it into components, ensuring responsive and consistent styling. I collaborate with engineers via pair coding sessions to guarantee pixel-perfect implementation.
Walk me through your process for prioritizing tests when you have multiple competing opportunities.
I use an impact-effort matrix. I estimate potential uplift and confidence from historical data and user research, then estimate implementation effort. High-impact, low-effort tests are prioritized first. I also consider strategic alignment with quarterly goals and maintain a continuously prioritized roadmap.
How do you ensure statistical rigor in your test analysis? What tools do you use?
I use GrowthBook for Bayesian and frequentist analysis, setting a minimum sample size and significance level (95%) before stopping tests. I check for peeking issues and use sequential testing methods. I also run sanity checks like A/A tests to validate the experimentation system.

About us

Ruby Labs is a leading tech company that creates and operates innovative consumer products. We offer a diverse range of opportunities across the health, education, and entertainment industries. Our innovative teams are driving the future of consumer-led products, and we’re always looking for passionate individuals to join us. Learn more about our story at: https://rubylabs.com/about-us/

About the role

We are building a category-defining document management platform. We are way past the MVP stage, battle-tested in production, recently profitable, serving hundreds of thousands of customers globally.
We are rapidly scaling with multiple products and new funnels. Currently, we are looking for a Senior CRO Manager who thrives on ownership, speed, and building things that scale. Not a 9-5. Read on if you want challenge, autonomy, and fast growth.

This isn’t a hand-off role. You’ll own the full optimization loop end-to-end: deep funnel analysis, hypothesis generation, high-fidelity wireframes and visual specs, working directly with engineers, and the performance outcomes that follow.
We are not just looking at landing page optimizations, in this role you’ll be working across the entire user journey, from acquisition through activation, retention, and monetization. The pace is fast and iterative. We ship in days, learn, and keep the engine running.

We’ve built a compensation structure that directly rewards people who exceed targets. Top performers see meaningful financial upside tied to their impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end optimization cycles: research → hypothesis → design → test → rollout, while keeping the cycles short.

  • Use AI tools daily to accelerate research, ideation, design, analysis, and documentation. This is core to how we work, not an afterthought.

  • Perform deep funnel and product analysis across the full user journey – acquisition, activation, retention, monetization – plus competitive benchmarking to surface high-impact opportunities.

  • Design high-fidelity wireframes and visual specs that clearly communicate your vision while protecting brand integrity. We’re a code-first team – design is built in Next.js and TailwindCSS, not Figma.

  • Partner with engineers to ensure flawless test implementation and rapid deployment.

  • Analyze results with statistical rigor and make confident scaling decisions.

  • Document learnings and maintain a continuously prioritized testing roadmap.

  • Present insights and results clearly to stakeholders, building alignment and momentum.

Qualifications

  • Proven CRO results: 3+ years of hands-on CRO experience, ideally with subscription or SaaS funnels, with documented performance lifts.

  • Funnel + product thinking: You don’t just optimize landing pages. You think about the full user journey and how product decisions compound with funnel decisions.

  • AI-native workflow: You actively integrate AI into your daily process – prompting, prototyping, analyzing, drafting – and have opinions about what actually works. Almost a must.

  • Design taste: Strong UI/UX sensibility and the ability to recognize and create ideas that convert. You can build compelling, detailed visual specs yourself.

  • Speed and iteration: Bias for shipping. You’d rather get two well-designed tests live today than one perfect test in a week, and you keep the cycle moving.

  • Analytical depth: Skilled in Mixpanel, GrowthBook, Google Analytics, or similar.

  • Execution excellence: Remarkable attention to detail in fast-moving environments.

  • Ownership: Self-driven, proactive, fully accountable for outcomes.

  • Fluent English: strong written and verbal communication.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to marketing attribution models, UTM parameters, and ROAS measurement.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and execute quickly.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Location

Ruby Labs operates within the CET (Central European Time) zone. Applicants from any country are welcome to apply for the position as long as they are located within approximately ± 4 hours of CET. This ensures optimal collaboration and communication during working hours.
