Dear Hiring Manager,
I am writing to express my strong interest in the Senior Product Designer role at Fieldguide. With a passion for designing intuitive workflows and a track record of solving complex problems, I am excited about the opportunity to modernize audit systems. At my previous role, I led end-to-end design for a data-rich platform, balancing speed with craft while collaborating closely with product and engineering teams.
I thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and have experience incorporating AI-assisted design into product solutions. Your mission to streamline audit practitioners' work resonates deeply with my desire to create high-impact tools. I am confident I can contribute to Fieldguide’s design culture and help shape the future of trust in business.
Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to discussing how my skills align with your team’s goals.

Sample interview questions
I worked on an audit engagement platform where the initial requirements were unclear. I conducted user research with auditors to understand their pain points, created multiple low-fidelity prototypes, and iterated rapidly with cross-functional partners. By focusing on user needs and leveraging data, I reduced ambiguity and delivered a streamlined workflow that improved efficiency by 30%.
I prioritize high-impact decisions early, using low-fidelity prototypes to validate concepts quickly. For later stages, I maintain consistency through design system components and push for iterative refinements. Clear communication with engineering about trade-offs ensures we deliver quality without slowing down.
I designed an AI-assisted feature that automatically categorized user inputs in a data entry tool. By studying user behavior and collaborating with data scientists, I created a seamless interaction where suggestions appeared contextually. This reduced manual effort by 40% and improved data accuracy.
I start by deeply understanding user needs through research and journey mapping. Then, I collaborate with engineering to identify feasible solutions and with product managers to align on business goals. I present trade-offs clearly, often using prototypes to demonstrate impact, ensuring user advocacy is balanced with practicality.
I immerse myself in the domain by studying regulatory requirements, interviewing users, and mapping existing workflows. I break down complexity into modular components and design progressive disclosure to avoid overwhelming users. Continuous feedback loops with domain experts ensure the solution remains accurate and usable.
