Dear Hiring Manager,

I am excited to apply for the Senior Content and Social Media Manager position at Nivoda. With over four years of experience owning social channels and leading integrated campaigns, I have developed a storytelling-first approach that drives engagement and builds community. Your mission to transform the diamond trading industry resonates with me, and I am eager to bring my blend of creativity, editorial discipline, and project management to your growing team.

I have successfully built and scaled social audiences from zero, developed content calendars that align campaigns across channels, and run newsletters that nurture and convert. I thrive in fast-paced, small-team environments where process is built alongside creative execution. I would love to help Nivoda tell its story and connect with independent jewellers worldwide.

I look forward to the possibility of contributing to your team.

Sincerely, [Your Name]

Sample interview questions
Can you describe a time you grew a social media channel from scratch? What was your strategy and what results did you achieve?

In my previous role, I was tasked with launching our Instagram presence from zero. My strategy involved identifying our target audience's pain points and creating a mix of educational and behind-the-scenes content that showcased our brand values. I also leveraged partnerships with micro-influencers and used data to optimize posting times and content formats. Within six months, we grew from 0 to 10,000 organic followers and saw a 300% increase in website referral traffic from social.

How do you balance multiple campaigns and maintain a consistent brand voice across channels?

I centralize planning through a master content calendar that maps out all campaigns, key messages, and channel-specific tactics. I also create brand voice guidelines with examples of do's and don'ts to ensure everyone is aligned. For each campaign, I develop a core narrative that is adapted per channel while keeping the same tone and mission. Regular check-ins with the team help me adjust and keep everything consistent without losing momentum.

Tell us about a campaign you planned end-to-end. How did you measure its success?

One campaign I led was a product launch that included teaser posts, an email sequence, and a live webinar. I planned the timeline, created the copy, coordinated with the designer and paid media team, and scheduled everything. Success was measured through a mix of engagement metrics (likes, shares, comments), email open and click-through rates, and ultimately webinar sign-ups and conversions. The campaign exceeded its lead generation goal by 40% and we used the data to refine future launches.

How would you approach turning a long-form interview into social-first content that travels?

I would first extract the most compelling and insightful moments from the interview, whether it's a surprising statistic, a personal story, or an actionable tip. Then I would repurpose those into bite-sized clips for Instagram Reels, quote graphics for static posts, and a threaded summary for Twitter or LinkedIn. Each piece would be designed to hook the viewer quickly and include a clear call-to-action to read the full interview on the blog or newsletter, creating a cohesive content ecosystem.

The role involves working with designers, video partners, and paid marketers. How do you ensure collaboration and cohesion?

I believe clear communication is the foundation of good collaboration. I would kick off every project with a detailed brief that includes the campaign story, target audience, deliverables, and deadlines. I'd also set up shared workflows and regular syncs to keep everyone aligned. By providing specific feedback and being open to input, I ensure that all partners feel invested in the outcome and that the final product feels like one seamless story rather than disconnected pieces.

🚀 About Nivoda

Nivoda is a fast-growing B2B marketplace that is transforming the global diamond and gemstone industry. We connect buyers and sellers across the world, processing $300M+ in annual transactions and unlocking a $350B industry opportunity. We move fast, think big, and care deeply about the businesses and people we serve.

🌍 Our Mission

The diamond trading industry has historically been fragmented, opaque, and inaccessible. Nivoda was founded to change that: to empower businesses of all sizes and locations to participate in a fair, efficient global marketplace. Every line of code, every integration, every automation we build brings us closer to that mission.

🤔 About the Role

We are looking for a Sr. Content and Social Media Manager to own our social channels and be the creative engine behind our marketing campaigns. You are a storyteller first and an operator second: you can take an idea, shape it into something people actually want to watch and share, and make it show up consistently everywhere we publish.

This is a connective role. You will own the content calendar, plan and run campaigns end to end, keep a strong and consistent presence on social, and run our newsletter. You will be the glue across marketing, making sure a campaign lands as one coherent story across social, email, and beyond rather than a set of disconnected posts. As the team grows we will add editorial depth alongside you (long-form writing and podcast production), so you can stay focused on what you do best: social, storytelling, and campaigns that move.

😎 What would YOU be doing?

  • Own Nivoda’s social media channels end to end, from strategy and calendar to publishing and community, with Instagram and our primary channels front and centre.

  • Be the main creative force behind our marketing campaigns: come up with the idea, shape the story, and make it show up consistently across every channel.

  • Own the content calendar and keep every channel in sync, so campaigns land as one coherent story rather than scattered posts.

  • Plan and run campaigns end to end: the brief, the timeline, the assets, the launch, and the follow-through.

  • Run “The Modern Jewellers Playbook”, our newsletter. Own the cadence and the sends, and tie it into everything else we are publishing.

  • Turn our bigger content moments, like interviews, launches, and guides, into a steady stream of social-first content that travels.

  • Write social and short-form copy that sounds like a real person and makes independent jewellers stop scrolling.

  • Work with our designer and video partners to ship content that looks as good as it reads, and with our paid marketer to amplify what is working.

  • Be the connective tissue across marketing: link events, campaigns, and content so nothing happens in a silo.

  • Track what performs across channels and use it to sharpen the calendar. Double down on what lands, and drop what does not.

😉 What do we need from YOU?

  • 4+ years running social and content for a brand, with real ownership of channels and campaigns rather than just scheduling posts.

  • You are a storyteller first. You know how to take an idea and make it land as a post, an email, a thread, or a reel.

  • A body of social and campaign work you are proud of, ideally including channels you grew yourself.

  • You can write. Quickly, well, and in a voice that sounds human rather than corporate.

  • Sharp project management. You can run a content calendar and several campaigns at once without dropping any threads.

  • Comfort working hands-on on a small team and building process where none exists.

  • Fluent with the tools of modern social and content work, and happy to lean on AI to move faster.

  • An instinct for what performs, and the discipline to let data settle the debates.

⭐️ Nice to have

  • Knowledge of the jewelry industry

  • Experience marketing to small business owners, retailers, or a trade and craft audience.

  • Hands-on with short-form video: you can shoot and cut a reel yourself, or confidently direct someone who can.

  • Experience running an email or newsletter program.

  • Community-building experience, online or off.
