Sample interview questions
How would you develop a territory plan for enterprise accounts in the UK?

I would segment named accounts by security maturity, cloud-native adoption, open-source exposure, and likely business triggers. I would map buying committees, build account-specific hypotheses, set pipeline coverage targets, and review progress weekly against leading indicators and forecast stages.

Describe how you sell a technical security product to both engineering and executive stakeholders.

I tailor the conversation to each stakeholder while maintaining one value narrative. Engineering teams need technical validation and integration clarity, while executives need risk reduction, compliance impact, operational resilience, and a credible business case.

How have you created pipeline when inbound demand was insufficient?

I use focused outbound campaigns built around account research, trigger events, partner relationships, and multi-threaded outreach. I measure conversion by persona and message, then refine the approach quickly based on meetings created and qualified opportunity progression.

How do you manage a complex enterprise sales cycle with multiple decision makers?

I establish a mutual action plan with clear milestones, identify the economic buyer and technical champions early, and document decision criteria and risks in the CRM. Regular deal reviews help ensure that technical validation, security review, procurement, and legal workstreams remain aligned.

Tell us about a time you missed or saw risk to a forecasted deal. What did you do?

I surfaced the risk early, reassessed the close plan with the customer and internal team, and separated confirmed actions from assumptions. I either created a realistic recovery path with executive support or adjusted the forecast promptly while increasing focus on qualified pipeline to protect the quarter.
