About the Job

As a key member of the Sales Operations team, you will play a critical role in analyzing retail and e-commerce sales performance, generating actionable insights, and driving data-based decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will pair strong technical expertise with a deep passion for retail strategy, customer behavior, and macroeconomic factors. You will also lead efforts to optimize promotional effectiveness by analyzing current promotions, designing new retail strategies, and refining execution to help achieve organizational goals. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Sales Operations teams to identify growth opportunities and implement strategic improvements. Additionally, you will be responsible for analyzing key metrics, evaluating retailer performance, and delivering insights and recommendations that directly support the achievement of retailer and organizational goals.

For candidates based in the US, the salary range for this position is $111,500 – 164,500 USD. For candidates based out of Canada, the salary range for this position is 131,000 – 154,500 CAD. We take into consideration an individual’s background and experience in determining final salary- therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Sales Operations teams to align promotional plans with business objectives.
  • Analyze sales data across retail stores, e-commerce, and marketplaces to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Develop, maintain, and automate recurring reports, dashboards, and KPIs to track business performance and retail promotional strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Conduct customer segmentation and behavior analysis to optimize product assortment, promotions, and retention strategies.
  • Assess macro-economic trends, market data analysis, and its downstream impacts on the Device’s business.
  • Lead ad-hoc deep-dive analysis to inform business strategies; ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across reporting systems, and present findings to the extended team in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
  • Manage promotional budget. Benchmark promotional strategies to assess promotional effectiveness, provide insights and recommendations for future improvements, and present findings and insights to leadership and stakeholders at varying levels.
  • Conduct margin analysis to ensure profitability across different product categories and sales channels. Assess channel health through channel inventory, lift, and gap analysis.
  • Optimize data pipeline processes to streamline data aggregation. Develop self-serving dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights for leadership and sales teams.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related field (Master’s and/or MBA is a plus).
  • 7+ years of experience in consumer electronics or retail focused on retail sales analytics, business intelligence, promotional strategy, or a similar data-driven related experience.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to craft a story from a retail mindset
  • Ability to step up during ambiguous times and ready to take on new challenges while driving continuous improvement across Sales Analytics and Promotions
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, and experience partnering across different functions and various levels in a company.
  • Advanced Excel skills are required. Experience with NetSuite, SQL, Databricks, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI), and G Suite is a plus.
  • Self-starter, comfortable with working under pressure, and meeting deadlines with the ability to prioritize with limited guidance
  • Team player and the ability to work collaboratively across different functions, effectively influence senior business partners, and provide thoughtful push back when necessary.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking paired with intellectual curiosity and aptitude in picking up new technical skills
