How do I prevent my Jobicy profile from appearing on search engines?
You can control how your Jobicy profile is displayed by using the Profile Visibility setting.
To change your profile visibility:
- Sign in to your Jobicy account.
- Open your Profile Settings.
- In the Basic Information section, find Profile Visibility.
- Enable Stealth Mode to hide your personal identity from public visitors.
- Save your profile.
When Stealth Mode is enabled:
- Your name is hidden.
- Your profile photo is hidden.
- Company names in your work history are hidden.
- Employers can still discover your skills and experience without seeing your personal identity.

If you want maximum privacy, you can also delete your profile entirely from your account settings.
Note: Search engines need time to update their index. Changes are not reflected immediately.
I forgot to enable Stealth Mode and my profile appears in Google
If your profile was previously public, search engines may continue showing it for some time after you change its visibility or delete it.
After enabling Stealth Mode or deleting your profile:
- your public profile will no longer be available on Jobicy;
- search engines will eventually remove the outdated result during their next crawl;
- this process usually takes anywhere from a few days to several weeks.
How do I remove my profile from Google or Bing?
If your profile still appears in search results after you have hidden or deleted it, you can request that search engines refresh or remove the outdated listing.
Use Google’s Remove Outdated Content tool:
https://search.google.com/search-console/remove-outdated-content
Bing
Use Bing’s Content Removal request form:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/concern/bing
You will typically need to provide the URL of the old profile that appears in search results.
Important: Before submitting a removal request, make sure your Jobicy profile has already been hidden or deleted. Search engines may reject the request if the page is still publicly accessible.
How long does removal take?
Search engines control their own indexes, so Jobicy cannot remove search results directly.
In most cases:
- Google updates search results within several days to a few weeks.
- Bing may take a similar amount of time.
- If your profile has been permanently deleted, it will disappear from search results after search engines recrawl the page.
