How to hide or delete your Jobicy profile

Your Jobicy profile gives employers a way to discover your skills and experience. If you no longer want your profile to be publicly visible, you have two options:

  • Enable Stealth Mode to keep your profile online while hiding your personal identity.
  • Delete your profile permanently if you no longer want it to exist on Jobicy.

How do I hide my profile?

If you simply want more privacy, we recommend enabling Stealth Mode instead of deleting your profile.

To do this:

  1. Sign in to your Jobicy account.
  2. Open your Profile Settings.
  3. In the Basic Information section, locate Profile Visibility.
  4. Switch from Public Mode to Stealth Mode.
  5. Save your changes.

When Stealth Mode is enabled:

  • your name is hidden;
  • your profile photo is hidden;
  • company names in your work history are hidden;
  • employers can still discover your experience, skills and qualifications without seeing your personal identity.

You can switch back to Public Mode at any time.

How do I permanently delete my profile?

If you no longer wish to use Jobicy, you can permanently delete your profile and account.

Before deleting your account, we recommend exporting or saving any information you may need in the future. Once your account is deleted, your profile and associated data cannot be restored.

To delete your account:

  1. Sign in to your Jobicy account.
  2. Open Account Settings.
  3. Go to the Account Data section.
  4. Select Delete my data and account.
  5. Confirm your decision.

Your profile and personal data will be permanently removed from Jobicy, except for information we are legally required to retain (such as invoices, payment records or customer support correspondence, where applicable).

Will my profile disappear from Google/Bing immediately?

No. Search engines maintain their own indexes and may continue displaying outdated search results for some time after your profile has been hidden or deleted.

Once your profile is no longer publicly accessible, search engines will eventually remove it during their next crawl. This process may take anywhere from a few days to several weeks.

If your profile still appears in search results after deletion, you can also submit a removal request directly to Google or Bing using their outdated content removal tools.

Note: Enabling Stealth Mode is the best option if you want to remain discoverable by employers while protecting your personal identity. Delete your account only if you no longer wish to use Jobicy at all.
