This is a second interview invitation email template to use during your hiring process. You can use this template to invite candidates who have successfully passed from the first phase of interviews, to a second, more thorough, interview round.

At this stage, you’ve likely already met the candidate and had several email exchanges. When crafting your second interview invitation email, a more casual tone may be fitting. However, as with all recruitment emails, it’s important to ensure that your tone aligns with your company’s culture and the role you’re hiring for.

Your email should effectively prepare your candidate for the interview. Start by clearly indicating that your email is an invitation for a second interview in the subject line. In the body of the email, briefly outline the purpose of this second interview (for example, to discuss an assignment, complete a test, or meet with the CEO or hiring manager) and provide an estimate of the interview duration. If the candidate needs to bring any materials (like their ID or portfolio), be sure to remind them of this as well.
