Promoting Your CV: Turning Your Profile into an Ad

FacebookTwitterLinkedIn

Standing out in a competitive job market can be challenging. To give your job search a significant advantage, our platform allows you to seamlessly transform your published resume into a targeted advertising campaign. This feature puts your professional profile directly in front of active recruiters and hiring managers browsing the platform.

Instead of waiting for employers to find you through search, you can proactively push your resume to the top of their feeds. This guide explains how our automated system turns your CV into an ad and how you can launch it in just a few clicks.

How the Automated Conversion Works

To save you time, our system uses a dedicated tool that automatically pulls data directly from your published resume to generate your ad creative. When you initiate a resume promotion, the following happens instantly:

  • Title: The ad title is automatically filled using your resume’s professional title (e.g., “Senior Marketing Manager”).
  • Ad Text: The system extracts a clean, text-only snippet from your resume’s main content to use as the ad description. If it is longer than 140 characters, it is automatically trimmed.
  • Image: Your uploaded candidate photo or custom avatar is automatically loaded into the ad’s image uploader.
  • Theme: The ad theme is automatically categorized as Career / HR to ensure it reaches the right audience.

Important Note on Images: If you have not uploaded a personal photo to your resume, the system will automatically apply a default professional placeholder avatar (candidate.png) so your ad can still run without issues.

Step-by-Step Setup Guide

Launching your resume ad is incredibly straightforward since the system does the heavy lifting for you.

  1. Start the Campaign: Click the Promote Your Resume link found in the confirmation email you received when your resume was approved.
  2. Review the Pre-filled Data: You will be redirected to the Ad Creation form, where your title, text, and image will already be populated.
  3. Refine Your Text (Optional): While the text is auto-generated, you can edit the description to make it punchier or highlight a specific certification.
  4. Choose Your CTA: Select a relevant Call-to-Action button from the dropdown, such as Apply Now, Contact Us, or Read More.
  5. Set Your Budget & CPM: Define your Total Budget and your CPM (Cost Per Mille) bid.
  6. Save and Launch: Click Save Ad. If your balance is funded, your resume ad will immediately enter the moderation queue or go live.

Locked Settings: When promoting a resume, the Ad Format is automatically locked to the Compact layout, and the selection menu is hidden. Additionally, your Target Link (URL) is locked as a read-only field pointing directly to your resume. This guarantees your ad is perfectly formatted for recruiters and prevents broken links.

Strategic Recommendations & Best Practices

To get the highest return on investment for your job search, keep these tips in mind:

  • Polish Your Auto-Generated Text: The system grabs the first lines of your resume. Before saving, edit this text to focus heavily on your most impressive achievement or years of experience. You have 140 characters—make every word count.
  • Utilize Impression Frequency: Recruiters often browse the platform for long sessions. Open the Frequency per user settings and limit your ad to 3 or 5 impressions per day. This ensures you don’t waste your budget showing your resume to the same recruiter dozens of times in one sitting.
  • Target Devices Wisely: If your resume contains highly detailed portfolios or complex formatting, you might want to restrict your ad delivery to Desktop users only, as recruiters generally prefer reviewing complex professional profiles on larger screens. You can adjust this in the Target Devices section.
