The Financial Accountant is responsible for the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records and reports. The Financial Accountant will assist in the day-to-day financial operations of the organization, ensuring that financial transactions are recorded correctly and in compliance with GAAP, local, state, and federal regulations. The Financial Accountant will also play a crucial role in the preparation of financial statements and other reports used by management to make informed business decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Record and reconcile daily financial transactions in a timely and accurate manner
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, local, state, and federal regulations
• Participate in the annual audit process, working with external auditors to complete the process efficiently
• Analyze financial data and make recommendations to management on ways to improve financial performance
• Maintain accurate and complete financial records and files
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
• Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on financial matters

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparation
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar
