The Assistant Controller is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely preparation and reporting of financial statements, as well as managing day-to-day financial operations. - Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records and reconcile any discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, local, state, and federal regulations
- Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns
- Lead the annual audit process, working with external auditors to complete the process efficiently
